General information only. Everything on this site, including the guides, the Idaho rules page, the cost calculator and the repair-or-replace checker, is general information. It is not legal, insurance, tax or engineering advice, and it is not a substitute for a roofer's inspection or a professional's opinion about your situation.

Cost figures. Prices shown on the site come from published estimates and cost models, labeled with their source and year. They are not quotes from any roofer. Your actual price depends on your roof, the materials you choose, permit fees and the roofer you hire.

Laws and codes. Summaries of Idaho law and local permit rules were checked against official sources on the date given on each page. Statutes, city codes and forms change. Confirm the current rule with the agency or city office before you rely on it, and ask your roofer to confirm permit needs for your address.

Insurance. Only your insurer decides what a policy covers. This site does not negotiate or handle claims. Under Idaho law, only a public adjuster holding a state license may negotiate a claim on your behalf for pay. A roofer can document damage, but the claim is settled between you and your insurer.

Roofers. The roofers you may hear from are independent businesses. We do not employ them, supervise their work or guarantee their results. Check each roofer's Idaho contractor registration number yourself.

Storm information. Weather events mentioned on the site are drawn from National Weather Service and other public records. They describe past events and do not mean your roof was damaged.
